We put all of our passion, experiences, and expertise into serving our customers.
As we have grown and expanded over the years since our opening in 2008, we’ve honed our ability to use our passions to meet customers’ needs regardless of athletic ability or running speed. Our customers range from ultra-distance runners to physical therapy referrals and everything in between.
Our staff is eclectic, friendly, and well-rounded.
We have marathoners, college athletes, ultra runners, coaches, dads, and moms all on staff. We come from diverse backgrounds, but we all appreciate the places running and fitness have taken us!

Our Management Team
Get to know us
Tyler Mertiff
Altoona
Tyler Mertiff, C.Ped., is the store manager of AppRunCo – Altoona. He co-manages alongside John Myers. Tyler attended the Robert Palmer Institute of Biomechanics to learn the pedorthic profession and obtain his certification. When he’s not in the store helping customers achieve their goals, you’ll find Tyler coaching high school basketball & football at the Tyrone school district.
Katie Larsen
Carlisle
Katie is the store manager of AppRunCo – Carlisle & an avid distance runner. She participates in races from 1 mile to marathon, on both roads & trails. Katie graduated from Shippensburg University with a BA in Communications & Journalism. When she’s not fitting shoes, Katie can be found snapping photos for the store’s social media pages or leading one of the store’s weekly group runs.
